Doug has practiced law in Northwest Ohio for almost 27 years, focusing on estate planning/probate, real estate, business, and litigation, including commercial, trust and estate, and personal injury cases. Doug has experience in real estate development and land use, with an emphasis on zoning, agricultural law, cellular, solar and wind leasing, and the aggregate/mining industry. He also has worked in public interest law, having represented a number of non-profits and municipalities.

Doug is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) and has served on its Council of Delegates and as a Fellow on the Ohio State Bar Foundation (OSBF0. He is a past recipient of the OSBF Community Service Award for Attorneys Under 40. A longstanding member and past president of the Wood County Bar Association, he has served on its Certified Grievance Committee and on the Law Library Board. Doug has also served on the Wood County Republican Central Committee and currently sits on the Wood County Board of Elections.

Doug also is a proud member of Farm Bureau, the Ohio Industrial Aggregates and Minerals Association and the Ohio Association for Justice. He has served as a presenter at several real estate, estate planning, title, land use and farm law seminars.

In his spare time Doug enjoys running, hiking and other outdoor activities.  Doug is an Eagle Scout and lifelong scout leader, and he and his wife Lisa are proud parents of three Eagle Scouts – Tyler, Holden and Carys.
